We are located in the fishing village of Barbate. Our philosophy goes beyond a cutting-edge trend, aiming for the true meaning of traditional Almadraba cuisine and the Mediterranean diet, without forgetting well-being. We respect the taste of our local products with new techniques and avant-garde recipes. We are the rediscovery of a unique, sustainable, and seasonal product, such as the Almadraba red tuna.
We have been serving our customers for over 30 years, first under the direction of Manuel Corrales and Dolores Pacheco, and currently with Narci Corrales managing the restaurant and Francisco Javier Utrera as head chef. At Peña El Atún, also known as the "El Atún" Sport Fishing Club, you can enjoy the best salted fish, toasts, stews, and seafood, though our great specialty is Almadraba Red Tuna, featured in many of our dishes.
In their hands lies the art of good eating from our cuisine. Hands that develop that creativity which turns into what you take to your palate, with flavors that last forever. That is the essence of Variopinto’s infinite flavors: they never forget, we never stop creating. You will always come back.
The Sánchez García brothers (María José, Juana Mari, and Lolo), all with experience in the sector, opened the establishment in June 2020. Located on the Barbate seafront promenade, it has a covered terrace with views of the beach, as well as a lounge and bar. It can accommodate over a hundred people.
Su Barra is a project born with the aim of becoming the local reference for Spanish cuisine. In it, the essence of traditional Andalusian flavors merges with innovative touches that surprise our customers with each bite. The fusion of the freshest products in the area and the passion for good food make this space a unique place.
